Supporting Ukraine’s national security

Today, the EU Advisory Mission (EUAM) Ukraine’s team, led by the Head of Mission, Rolf Holmboe, met with the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, to discuss EUAM’s support for Ukraine’s national security reforms.
The meeting focused on building a sustainable national security architecture, addressing current challenges, and the negotiation process for Ukraine’s EU accession.
The EUAM’s Head highlighted the Mission’s collaboration with international partners and emphasized an integrated approach to providing comprehensive support for Ukraine’s reforms.
The parties also discussed the assessment process for Ukraine’s accession to the EU, highlighting the importance of reforming the civilian security sector of Ukraine and implementing the Overarching Strategic Plan for Reforming Law Enforcement Agencies.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to ongoing cooperation in supporting Ukraine’s national security reforms and its European integration efforts.
