EUAM Head of Mission visits Odesa region

Over two busy days this week, the Head of EUAM, Antti Hartikainen visited the Odesa region. He travelled to the Ukraine-Moldova border together with counterparts from the EU Border Assistance Mission to Moldova and Ukraine, the Border Police of Moldova and the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, where they had a chance to review the jointly operated border crossing point and discuss integrated border management. Mr Hartikainen also dropped by a training for Odesa judges to help improve the way that complex trials are managed, organised by EUAM and delivered by a team of British experts. Last but not least, he met with the leadership of the National Police in Odesa region and handed over bodycams, printers and laptops worth a total of EUR 10,000.
