EUAM Regional Presence in Kharkiv brings key regional stakeholders together to enhance public trust in law enforcement and human rights protection
Two important meetings were hosted recently at the EU Advisory Mission Ukraine Regional Presence in Kharkiv, which form part of the Mission’s efforts to enhance public trust in law enforcement institutions and support the protection of human rights in the Kharkiv region by bringing together the major stakeholders involved to develop common solutions.
To assist the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine process foreign-language documents more quickly, the EU Advisory Mission Ukraine today donated licences for a market-leading translation software. This donation will considerably assist the PGO’s efforts to pursue criminals across borders and assist prosecutors in other countries with their requests.
The imminent announcement by the Asset Recovery and Management Agency of a competition for the recruitment of 25 staff members is good news for Ukraine and its fight against corruption. Over the coming months, ARMA will be building the foundations of the organisation and the selection of staff members is central to this.
