Dialogue to prevent violence – EUAM and Czech police deliver ‘dialogue police’ training in Dnipro
Police officers from Dnipro and the surrounding region completed a four-day training session in dialogue policing on 24 March delivered by experts from the EU Advisory Mission Ukraine (EUAM) and the Czech Police. Dialogue policing is a crowd-management technique, which was developed over a decade ago in Germany and Sweden and is now standard practice in EU countries.
Mission Accomplishable? Only trusted institutions can make Ukraine secure and successful
Last Thursday, shortly after a roundtable discussion hosted by Kateryna Zarembo of the Institute for World Policy featuring the participation of the EU Advisory Mission Ukraine and some of its most important Ukrainian partners, I read with interest her article in Evropeiska Pravda with the headline ‘Mission Accomplishable? Where the EU is getting it wrong in the reform of the security sector in Ukraine’. 
Ground-breaking Security Service annual report will boost public trust and feed ‘appetite for reforms’
On 23 March, the Head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Vasyl Hrytsak, and the Deputy Head of European Union Advisory Mission Ukraine, Joelle  Vachter, held a press briefing to mark the publication of the SSU Annual Report, which has been published and distributed in compliance with EU practices for the first time.   
Building public trust will be key if the SSU is to meet present and future challenges
This week, the Security Service of Ukraine celebrates 25 years of activity. The past quarter century has seen many challenging moments for the organisation – the key task of the reforms currently taking place is to ensure that the SSU is well equipped to face the challenges of the present and future to provide security for the people of Ukraine. The security of Ukraine is part of the security of Europe. 
EUAM provides support for State Fiscal Service to build an integrated competency-based HR management system
Experts from the EU Advisory Mission Ukraine delivered a training on 17 March in Lviv for HR middle managers in regional offices of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine on the subject of ‘Effective Selection and Interviewing Skills. Competency Management’.
